6 Days - 751 Pages

Last night I finished the main story of Stephen King’s ‘Salem’s Lot and this morning I finished the entire book including the deleted scenes and the King’s afterword. I enjoyed every little bit of it.

‘Every author makes a guest appearance in every book’ is one of the quotes that didn’t make it in the final version, but it’s probably one of my favourite quotes in literature. This novel is more than just another horror story. It’s the story of people, of a community and its a story about writing and faith. I can say that this is one of the books that will influence my life as a writer.

If you like a good horror story with much deeper themes, written in such a manner that you just find yourself at the end of 751 pages without even realising, that’s the book. It’s a must-read!
