A Day of Rain and Research

Previously on the Adventures of the Muddy Shoes - I now have the essay topics for my first English Literature exam.

Today was finally a rainy day. I woke up to the sound of rain and I’ll probably fall asleep to the sound of rain. It was a perfect day to put together a plan for my essay.

I decided to write about the female character’s in Faulkner’s As I Lay Dying. I wasn’t yet sure how to approach the topic. I knew that the mother is basically the one who moves the plot forward… as she lay dying. I started brainstorming ideas about Addie, her daughter and their female neighbour - the main female characters. After developing a few theories, I started to research. I shall write about matriarchy.

And while I write my essay, a few guests will tell you the adventures of their (muddy) shoes in times of isolation. Stay close!
