A Sun(ny)Day in Bromley

There’s a bus that we take every now and then - 269 to Bromley North. A few weeks ago I had a meeting in Bromley and that’s when I discovered this extremely pretty town, but I didn’t have time to explore. Plus, I’m not a fan of exploring on my own.

Today was a sunny Sunday (although as soon as we got home it got a little cloudy) and what do V and I do on sunny Sundays? We go out and explore. We hopped on 269 to Bromley North, got off at the Bromley Town Hall and started walking. From a huge pedestrian area, we got to streets of houses, then suddenly we were in a park. We also found out that Charles Darwin lived in Bromley at some point.

I’m always amazed by the combination of urban and nature that is London. Now you’re in a city with stores, houses and tall buildings, then you’re walking past a fortified church in a forest-like park with ducks, squirrels and flowers. When you get tired you take a bus for half an hour and you’re home. How awesome is this?
