Almost 2020

I wonder… is buying a bottle of champagne that is shorter than the book you’re reading (because you know you won’t drink more) proof of knowing yourself? If anything, it is proof of knowing what you need and trying to reduce waste as much as possible. That’s also why we’re having pizza tonight instead of cooking all sorts of foods that we would end up throwing away.
If you’re wondering where we’re having pizza for New Year’s, the answer is: at home. We’ll have a relaxing night at home eating pizza, drinking cocktails and watching movies. I know, I know... London, fireworks, spectacular, but also crowded and loud. Last year because of the fireworks back home my beloved dog ran away from home and only returned in the evening on the 1st of January. An old dog like Blacky doesn’t deserve the stress of fireworks. In fact, no dog, no cat, no turtle, no bird, no hamster, no guinea pig, no *insert any animal here* deserves this and that’s why I am starting to dislike fireworks in general.
I wish you all to have fun tonight in your own way, but please take care of yourselves and think about other living beings around you. In 2020, may your champagne be sufficient and your books enjoyable!
