Another one bites the dust, another book on the bus.

I love reading on the bus (when I don’t need to take notes) and I generally love reading in London. This novel I’m reading right now, Good Me Bad Me by Ali Land, is set in London. I often recognise places and names. I even recognise some types of people. This is a little unsettling given that the characters I recognised are bullies or suffer from mental illnesses in the book. Anyway, I was just making assumptions. I hope no one goes through Milly/Annie’s life.

If you like psychological thrillers that mess with your head as you read, this is a great book for you. The novel is written as a stream of consciousness and the main character often talks to her mother but refers to her as ‘you’. Her mother is a serial killer. You are a serial killer. Unsettling, but great.

Also, because it is referenced in the book, now I want to read Lord of the Flies. Book after book after book after book… I haven’t stopped reading for at least 7 years and I am planning to never stop. I can’t live without reading a book.
