I was so happy about my shopping experience yesterday that I forgot to mark my 200th adventure of the muddy shoes, but that’s fine, I will do that today by dedicating this adventure to Art (and safety).

In these days of isolation and uncertainty, most of us in some way or another have found a safe place in Art. I have Literature (reading and writing) and Music, others have Visual Arts, Plastic Arts, Dancing, Drama or Film. Whatever Art you chose, you chose it because it made it easier to cope with everything that is going on. You chose it because it makes you feel a little more relaxed, it allows you to connect to yourself, it teleports you to another world. Art has a way to keep you safe and sane whether you are the Artist or the ‘consumer’.

Look at us, where would we be right now without movies, TV series, books, music, online recordings of plays, without beautiful paintings, pictures or comics, without Art in general? Even if all you do is scrolling social media all day, you still see quotes, pictures, material that is related to Art. Therefore, please, if you know any Artists (and I’m sure you know some) please, don’t clip their wings. Please, don’t tell them Art is useless. Please, don’t tell them to ‘get a real job’. Instead, please, SUPPORT them. We need Artists too.
