Assess. Befriend. Protect.

The Neighbourhood Pa(W)trol - I did not come up with that name, do not come after me - has designed an action strategy under the motto ‘Assess. Befriend. Protect.’ and now we have started implementing this. Until yesterday, I only got to the ‘Assess’ side, as not much happens on the properties that I manage.

Yesterday, however, my very beloved neighbours had a few more people around. The two guests were of Slovak origin, previously unacquainted with each other. I finally got to ‘Befriend’! This is quite a controversial part of our strategy amongst the other felines in the neighbourhood, but me, I’m a natural. Everything went smoothly. I’m slightly disappointed that I did not get to use ‘Protect’ as well, but I wouldn’t wish such displeasure to my young neighbours.

I came back to visit this morning. All was in order. The Writer human was reading - apparently, she is now studying An-thro-pol-o-gy. The Engineer human was free from labour today and relaxing with some computer games. The Photographer human was also home and came by to say hello. I hope that my new Slovak friends will return soon as well!
