Today I took my muddy shoes to the kitchen and made some very tasty banana bread. I have been planning this for a while, but I always forgot to… buy a tray. Last Wednesday during the weekly shopping session I finally remembered.
Behind the scenes, we had some trouble with the flour - apparently, 1 1/2 cup changes from one measuring jar to another. Also, I might have had to put in a little more baking soda.
This is me preparing this amazing banana bread!
If you are now inspired to take a trip to the kitchen, here’s what you need:
- 2 or 3 bananas, very ripe
- 1/3 cup of butter
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- (optional) 1 pinch cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups of flour.
You just mix everything together and let them bake for about 1 hour at 175°C.
P.S. You might want to know that this recipe has a lot of sugar, so feel free to use less - I used 1/2 cup of sugar and it's still sweet.
