Best reward after a day of essay writing? A concert!

Yep. That’s what we did last night. Nova Twins. Their music is amazing, and somehow even more amazing-er live. Two chicks playing loud and heavy music with cool empowering lyrics. The show was also an absolute blast, probably one of the most high-energy performances I’ve ever been to. Excellent. The opening act, Aziya, was also extraordinary. V and I discovered her during the pandemic, so it was quite a nice surprise to learn that she was opening for Nova Twins.

Today is a recovery day. The back of my neck is in shambles after a few hours of headbanging. Part of me thinks ‘omg, you’re old now!’, but really, my body was sore for days after a concert when I was 16 or whatever. I’m still at the same level - no more, no less pain. I really hope growing up and old doesn’t mean I have to stop being myself at concerts. What a scary thought.
