Bus thoughts on poetry & prose

They're so different. So, so different. Probably just as complex, but different nonetheless.
Prose just comes to me naturally. Long or short sentences about this, that, or the other. A character who's like this and like that. This or that happens. It's simple. There's a full-time narrator living in my head anyway so I could just write a story about being on the bus. I probably should. It would be fun.
But poetry... Poetry is rhythm and alliterations and metaphors and similes or symbols. There's just so much to think about. And then, I also have this obsession to get my point across and even if I do know about the death of the author, being misunderstood would still keep me up at night.
But who knows? Maybe one day a poet will start writing in my head. You never know.
