Today DEIS UK was at the Dockyard Festival at the Clockhouse Community Centre. The weather was trying to stop us all, but a bit of rain and some wind didn’t do the trick. Although our roll-up banner might have a different opinion.

It was an amazing chance to feel the ‘vibe’ of the local community. We also got to meet the deputy mayor and a local councillor. Plus a professional musician and an organisation doing work for women. And we were told something that broke my heart a bit, but also gave me hope and motivation. Unfortunately, there are not too many opportunities that engage young people around here…

We’ve got a lot of work to do. It probably won’t be easy, but we are here to get involved and to get you(th) involved. And knowing us, nothing will stop J and me
