Finally started this book

There’s writer’s block. And there’s also reader’s block - when you just can’t sit down to read. It happens very rarely to me and I recover quickly, but it still bugs me. This is why I just couldn’t get myself to start this new book until this morning. But I started it so the block is over.

‘Twelve’ was published by Nick McDonell in 2002 when he was 17. It’s quite interesting to see how young young authors (16 - 20) see things differently than young adult authors (20 - 25). I might say there is a lack of nuance in some bits written by the under-20s, although that might come from the rawness and authenticity of their writing. My dissertation is getting more and more complex and I love that.

On 2sDAY, 22.02.2022 I also got some great news regarding my future. But I want to make a proper Muddy Shoes post dedicated to that so it’ll have to wait until tomorrow.
