For my mental sanity…

Nothing is more draining than editing. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!

I had to add the interviews I did for the dissertation as appendices. People do not speak the way they write. People say ‘sort of’ and ‘kind of’, and they stutter, and ‘it’s’, and ‘you’re’. Unfortunately, Otter.ai doesn’t know any better than to transcribe what it hears, which is fair enough. But my eyes are crying from staring at apostrophes and doubled words.

Tomorrow morning I’m receiving the final feedback on this piece of work and then off it goes. I’m sick of Word and Grammarly telling me that I spelt names wrong when I obviously haven’t or suggesting that I put a comma where it makes no sense.

I needed to vent. Thank you for reading. I’ll go find solace in ‘The Institute’.
