I Miss Rain

I love the sun and mildly warm weather. It’s beautiful. I can open my windows and enjoy nature. But I also love the sound of rain hitting my window. I miss a bit of rain - one rainy day from morning until night.

Today was mostly cloudy and I was hoping for a few drops of rain, but nothing happened. Right now the sun is shining in our yard (and room). A few days ago, I finally put away my winter clothes and rediscovered my summer clothing, including my elephant trousers. So here I am, in the yard, with my elephants and muddy shoes, on another sunny day.

By now, I lost the ability to believe anyone who would say that London is rainy. It’s as rainy as any other city with a temperate (oceanic) climate.

P.S. There’s a crazy bird somewhere around and it just won’t stop chirping. It sounds great, but CAN YOU PLEASE STOP SCREAMING, BIRD?
