This week I spent way too much time inside. Although I enjoyed a few days of reading in the comfort of my home, in bed with a tea or coffee next to me, today I woke up thinking that I must get out.


I remembered that there is a tiny library on my street. I got dressed, took my book and headed there to find out that it only opens at 12. No problem. I didn’t give up on my plan. Instead, I postponed it with a coffee at Costa. As soon as I entered, the two barista girls started complimenting my hair! I love it when people have the courage to say nice things.





I drank my coffee and then I went to the library. I didn’t take the picture of my muddy shoes there, but next time I go there I will. And I am going to return there. Librarians are the nicest people. I hate it when movies make them look grumpy because that is so not true. I was welcomed with the friendliest smile to take a sit and continue my book. I discovered that they have tea and coffee for 60p, but I didn’t have any cash so I had to decline their invitation.


At the same time, a friend of mine was telling me how miles away from here, over the sea, some old ladies were judging her on the bus…
