My favourite place

It’s raining today. I started my day early and I went to visit my old high school/college (I still don’t know how to translate it properly). I had a coffee in a lovely cafe where one of my friends works and started reading a new book.

I am at the Youth Centre now. This safe place where I spent my teenage years, learning, growing, and becoming who I am today. I stepped in 5 years ago in the shoes of an anxious teenager with no idea about the future. Today I stepped in as a writer & youth worker and co-founder of DEIS UK.

The room is different. The people are different. Life is different. But this place is still ‘home’ for my soul.
