New Shoes (I don’t think they’ll get muddy)

My relationship with shoes is very strange during the summer. For years I only wore boots and Chucks. Last summer I started considering espadrilles and I built a nice collection, but they were too broken so I only brought one pair with me.
I love my boots and Chucks. I really do. But in those very hot summer days, I must admit it’s so much better to wear something that doesn’t make your feet melt. And these sandals I bought - they are so comfy! They have those buckles that I can adjust so they are a perfect fit.
Back in my black clothes and boots and Chucks days, I used to be quite judgy of people who would wear a different style of clothing in the summer. If your style is really derived from your passions and your values, why would you change it? I think the sensors in my body were a bit broken - I wouldn’t feel the warmth in the summer, even though I wore boots and long, black jeans and black T-Shirts.
Bea from 2013, you’ll wear summer clothes too and you’ll figure out how to make them part of your style. You’ll still be cool and all, but you’ll wear more colours and you’ll have a blog where you write about the adventures of your muddy shoes every day. You’ll continue to wear boots and Chucks but not in the middle of the summer.
