On Handwriting Day, I want to apologize to everyone who had to use my notes or essay drafts back in highschool. I remember all the “what is that word?” messages. I honestly appreciate all colleagues, friends and teachers who could understand my handwriting.

Some people say that my handwriting looks nice. It’s so hard for me to believe that because all years of primary school I was told that my writing is terrible. I still believe it is illegible when I take notes, write fast and can’t focus on the writing itself.

So, happy Handwriting Day! I’m celebrating taking handwritten notes in today’s lecture* about Frankenstein and then discussing this amazing novel in the seminar. How are you celebrating?

*I always take handwritten notes, but today is a special day.
