Picture vs Content

I was ready to write about being able to read on the bus once again. I had a meeting today so on my way there I sat on the upper floor of the bus and read. I thought that after the meeting I’ll just come home and that will be the end of it.

Well, the director of the organisation I work with is part of the BAME community. When he asked if I’ve ever had Caribbean food before, the answer was no so he promised to get us to try it. So, after the meeting, we went to get some Caribbean take-away from a restaurant that sponsored an event we organised. Knowing that I live with V, he bought food for him too.

The food - chicken and rice - is actually good. Very spicy, but good. I wasn’t expecting this combination of flavours. It’s definitely different from traditional Romanian food, but I could integrate something like this into my personal cuisine.
