I'm at page 921 out of 1166, very close to the end of the book. Once again, I will say that Stephen King is a very good writer from a technical perspective. However, I have 3 little annoyances with 'IT':

° why are there 3 main characters with a name starting with B - Bev, Bill, Ben

° one of the key rules of creative writing is to never use weird speech, but here we are with a main character with a 'visible' stutter

° I personally don't like the interludes - the information could've been integrated better.

Other than this, I love it. The descriptions are very vivid and filled with suspense or horror. My favourite part about this novel is the underlying theme about the magic you lose growing up which made me think about my childhood.

I was a kid with plenty of imagination and hence imaginary friends. I also used to love Scooby-Doo (this is probably where my passion for horror stems). So, at some point, I 'created' this creature called Hambua. He was a strigoi/vampire-like being who wore an old suit and top hat. Yes, very similar to Slender Man although I haven't heard about it at the time. I have no idea where Hambua came from or where he went, but it seems that I had my own kind of It.
