Relaxation in our parents’ shoes

Oh well, it seems that Someone, up there, loves us. After so many days of isolation, we invited two dear friends to a BBQ, they have never been to our place before. We really wished for no rain.

The entire afternoon was perfect. It didn’t rain, we could grill our meat and ‘mici’ outside, in the yard, then we enjoyed them in the gazebo. We could have made everything inside the house, but everything seems tastier in the fresh air. As appetisers, we had bruschetta with tomatoes, garlic and basil with bread ‘toasted’ on the grill. We could stay in the gazebo surrounded by green, listening to the birds singing and watching our neighbours’ cats who decided to pass through our yard. We had some pleasant talks with our friends with whom we can debate any topic without the fear of starting to argue. We talked to our kids too a bit because we really miss them. We can’t wait for this pandemic to end so we can go visit them again. In the evening we started to feel the breeze from the valley nearby, so it actually got cold.

In short, we had a wonderful day that we’ve been waiting for months. Now we’re waiting for the summer to arrive, if possible.
