Some books just can’t wait in the queue

I have so many books waiting for me to read them and I want to read them too, but sometimes a book just can’t wait. I bought Ana Barton’s ‘Ophanim’ on Saturday at the book event, and while I was queueing for an autograph, I read the first page. My mistake. I take responsibility. Obviously, I could barely wait to finish the book I was reading (‘Before the Feast’) and get started on this one. Today is the day.

I have 9 days to finish it before the Spooky Season starts. I’ll probably read Stephen King for the whole of October, but I’ll see. I like to set myself challenges - already thinking about this year’s Christmas special.
