Sunshine and Ice Cream

Milk is probably the ‘fastest’ food - meaning that it runs out before anything else. We couldn’t wait until Wednesday, so we decided to take a walk to the convenience store nearby today.

We took a very long walk, exploring the streets of Bexley. In this village, it seems that humans get along perfectly with nature and time has stopped around the 1800s. As we were walking along the green fence of a very old cemetery that has been redeemed by the forest I felt as if I was a character of Middlemarch. For me, it is amazing to be able to get the clearest image of what life looked like in the times of my favourite novels. At the same time, it’s amazing that I understand the historical/cultural context of all these places.

After like 45 minutes of walking we finally came full circle and reached the store. We got milk, then we saw the ice cream - it was time for the first ice cream of 2020. On our way home, we took a break near the park to enjoy the sunshine and our ice cream.
