The Pizza in the Oven

You can’t see the pizza in the oven, but it’s there.
You also can’t see me going to buy the pizza, but I went out for it. I needed a reason to get out of the house and this was perfect. As much as I don’t want to get sick and I try to stay inside, I still need to spend at least a few minutes outside sometimes.
I need to tell you one interesting thing. At the little supermarket, I got pizza from, the employers have to weigh your fruits/vegetables and they touch everything you buy when they scan your items. Today I noticed they were all wearing surgical gloves and had disinfectant nearby. In the queue, people were keeping a distance from each other. All these little things make me feel safe. I’m not saying that every person or shop in London is like this, but I’m saying that there are oases where you can find safety and respect.
What I’m planning to do in the following weeks is to find as many of these oases as I can and I will keep them in mind even after the pandemic passes. It’s times like these we can see a different side of things. It’s an opportunity to learn and discover.
