When I posted the event for the Active Bystander Training at the Youth Center, one of the local newspapers shared the info. That's how this school/high school/college (I never know how to translate this correctly) found out about me and they reached out. Of course, I said yes when they invited me to host a session for their pupils.

As I said before, this workshop is always somewhat different. This time, the novelty came from the number of people (if my calculations are right, I had between 70-90 participants) and the fact that participation wasn't really voluntary. It went so well! The pupils were super interested in the topic, they engaged with me and my padlet boards, and so many of them were honestly paying attention. The feedback was excellent but more important for me was that a few told me directly that they really enjoyed it when they were leaving the room. We also talked about the Youth Center and how youth workers can support them in general and when dealing with situations of abuse.

Look at us all, building a better world bit by bit, young person by young person. I feel so happy right now.
