Walk, walk, walk

Reading a good book with something to drink, playing on your computer, watching movies or talking to friends are some healthy isolation activities. But that’s not enough. Even though I accepted the situation and adapted to it, I’m like a dog and I need to take walks.

For us, isolation is an opportunity to explore Bexley and every time we go out there’s something new to discover - pretty houses, forests, parks, old cars, flowers &c - all within walking distance. One thing I noticed (again) is how polite people are around here. On our walks, we often encounter older people and when we can, we try to cross the road to keep a safe distance from them. However, if it isn’t possible to do that, many times they choose to keep their distance from us rather than demanding it. Also, they always smile and thank you for letting them pass. This is how you win respect, by showing respect.

I know there are many others like me - people who like walks - and I hope there’s a way for you to fulfil your need, too. Air is a necessity for our mental and physical health. Take care of yourself!
